Oklahoma's Promise (OHLAP)

Oklahoma’s Promise (previously called OHLAP) pays for a student’s college tuition in the state of Oklahoma.

Oklahoma’s Promise allows eighth-, ninth- or 10th-grade students from families with an income of $55,000 or less to earn a college tuition scholarship. Students must also complete 17 required courses and maintain a 2.5 GPA or better. Students must meet conduct and attendance requirements. Once in college, for any year the income of the student’s parents exceeds $100,000, the student will not be eligible for the award that year. Students are required to complete the FAFSA their senior year in high school and each year they attend college to verify continued eligibility.

Students may come by the counseling office to pick up an application or apply online at this OK Promise page.

If doing the online form, parents must mail in the required tax documents.

If you apply online, OK Promise will communicate with the family via email. If you prefer to receive paper communication, you will want to complete the paper application.
